About Us
Who We Are
Keep the North Shore Country is a non-profit organization working to preserve, protect and enhance the heritage and rural character of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, in partnership with communities from Kaena Point to Kahaluu. The Directors of Keep the North Shore Country are Gil Riviere,Jeff Johnson, Kathleen Pahinui, Doug Cole, and Lucky Cole, all residents of the North Shore. Koolauloa-North

Keep the North Shore Country is part of a new network of 26 organizations who support the Turtle Bay Initiative. Go to the Alliance website Organizations who support our mission include: Sierra Club -Hawaii Chapter The Sierra Club, Hawaii Chapter, joined our legal action in June, 2006. Surfrider Foundation The Oahu Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation has supported our efforts from the beginning and the Surfrider Foundation now accepts tax-deductible donations on behalf of Keep the North Shore Country. Defend Oahu Coalition Defend Oahu Coalition is a large and growing grassroots organization working to protect communities along the North Shore from the dangerous effectrs of large scale development. Hawaii's Thousand Friends and Life of the Land These two environmentally conscious organizations have supported our efforts since the original press conference when we announced our legal action. `Ilio`ulaokalani Coalition and Keep the North Shore Country held a rally in March to draw attention to the lack of concern that Kuilima Resort Company has demonstrated towards iwi kupuna (ancestral burials).
